What to Expect with Therapy
Free Discovery Visit
When you first contact us you will be scheduled for a Free of Charge Discovery Visit to meet with one of our OT Providers at no charge. This gives you a time to get to know us and for us to ensure we will be the best fit for your child's therapy.
Initial Evaluation
Following the Discovery Visit, we will schedule your child for an Individualized Occupational Therapy Evaluation. This is a detailed evaluation of your child's strengths and areas of need. A full detailed report will be completed.
Develop Plan of Care
Our OT Provider will then develop a tailor made and evidence based plan of care and therapy goals for your child based on the findings of the Initial Evaluation. Most plans of care are developed for a 6+month duration of therapy for your child.
Therapy Sessions
This is where the fun begins as we work with your child to build the skills needed to meet their goals in therapy. Treatment sessions are always play based to ensure your child enjoys participating and coming to therapy each visit.
Discharge
When your child has consistently mastered all of their goals in therapy, we will prepare for a discharge from our therapy services which includes resources and activities for continued carryover at home following services.
